Scholarship now available

PrimaryPlus is proud to announce the availability of applications for the third annual PrimaryPlus scholarship. PrimaryPlus will provide one $500 non-renewable scholarship to a class of 2008 graduate residing and attending a Mason County school. The scholarship applications are available at the guidance counselors’office of Mason County High School, St. Patrick’s High School as well as on-line at www.primaryplus.net/ (under “Our Services-Community Programs”).

Applicants will be required to submit a brief biography, transcripts of their high school grades/test scores, financial need information and provide letters of recommendation. Seniors applying must also submit a 500 to 1,000 word essay outlining their professional goals in the medical field, the future contributions they would like to make in the community and how this scholarship would help them attain those goals. The recipient of the 2008 PrimaryPlus scholarship will be announced before the end of the school year. The deadline for application submission is April 25, 2008. PrimaryPlus offers similar scholarship programs to both Lewis and Fleming Counties, in hopes that students from these counties, with an interest in medicine will be able to pursue that interest and return home to provide top quality healthcare.

“The class of 2008 is a vital part of our community’s future and it is important to help them pursue their dreams, in hopes that they will return home to begin their careers. PrimaryPlus feels that the scholarship will not only assist with the financial burden of college, but also help them to think about how they too can give back to their community,” states Jerry Ugrin, CEO of PrimaryPlus.
