Scholarship boon for 20
BAHRAIN Polytechnic is to award 20 full-term four-year scholarships to students interested in a career-orientated programme.
The application deadline for the Higher Diploma in Transport, Freight and Logistics programme is June 25, said Bahrain Polytechnic chief executive John Scott. The programme, which starts in September, aims to help in the growth and development of competent individuals, he said.
“The Bahrain Polytechnic has designed this diploma programme to assist students to develop their careers in the field of commercial shipping, chartering, port agency and marine claims, air and shipping freight, logistics, freight forwarding and custom broking, and general transport,” said Mr Scott.
The four-year programme consists of a one-year foundation studies and three years of in-depth study. It covers logistics and purchasing principles, warehouse, transport and inventory operations, product care and handling and record and documentation requirements associated with the expansion of international trade with Bahrain.
Application forms and related information are available online at . Students can also apply at the Enrolment and Information Centre located at the Bahrain University’s Isa Town campus.
The list of scholarship recipients will be announced, following an interview, on July 25.
