Application deadline for scholarship soon
The Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation is accepting applications for the Raer Family Scholarship.Applicants must live within 100 miles of Fargo-Moorhead and be accepted into a nursing program with a strong focus on geriatric care at a higher education institution within the same radius, a news release said.
Preference will be given to those who work for Bethany Homes in Fargo or Eventide in Moorhead and who provide a letter of reference from either organization.
The scholarship was created by the late Elsie Raer, who researched and developed a passion for elderly care education with her sisters Charlotte and Gertrud, the release said.

The deadline for applications is May 20.
